Founded in the winter of 1969, the club has one-design racing fleets of Lightnings, Thistles, Y-Flyers and San Juan 21's. Sailors compete at every level from notice to championship racing. During the season, the Club schedules races for all classes, mostly Sunday afternoons. The club hosts four or five weekend regattas between April and October. Visiting boats compete with local one-design sailors in these events. Generally there are two races Saturday afternoon followed by a casual dinner at the Clubhouse in the evening. A Sunday morning race and trophy presentation complete the regatta.
